Input – Your Idea
Build Product Specifications
Let us turn your idea into formal working specifications. S2C's design service engineers collaborate closely with you to draft out product specifications that are implementable.
Define system architecture; Select IP and Platform
Defining a product design's system architecture is often the key step in the design flow process. One such design methodology uses electronic system level (ESL) tools such as Matlab and SystemC tools. Another design methodology is based on a ready-to-use SoC platform to develop your product design.
By working with proven IP partners, S2C provides commercially proven platforms ranging from simple 8051-based controllers to complex 32-bit microprocessor-based platforms. We help you determine the proper architectural platform according to your product costs and performance requirements. And then help you select the IP that best fit your design needs.
Develop Custom IP
For IP needs that are not met by existing commercial IP, S2C provides custom IP design services. Each and every IP that is tailored to your design requirements is verified through strict simulation processes.
Implement Design Top; Perform RTL Simulation
Once the platform and IP are determined, our design engineers will create a design top to integrate the design components and then perform RTL simulation. This step sometimes requires additional IP customization to plug the IP into the platform.
Map to FPGA Prototype
Using S2C's FPGA-based ESL tools, our design engineers can quickly map customer designs to FPGA-based prototype. We also help select the appropriate prototyping hardware (TAI Logic Module) and build the necessary daughter boards to fully meet your design requirements.
Our engineers can also perform software/hardware co-modeling to ensure the design mapped to FPGA correlates with RTL simulation results.
In-Circuit Prototyping
Once the FPGA is mapped onto prototype, S2C can help you hook up the prototype to a real environment for in-circuit testing. Our engineers also possess expertise in FPGA and board-level debugging as well as clock timing fine-tuning.
Output
Your prototype is now ready for demonstration and software development.
