Chips & Media to Present Latest Video Solutions at SoCIP 2010 Symposium in Shanghai, Beijing China May 21, 2010

Chips&Media will showcase their newest video core technologies and outstanding performance at SoCIP 2010.

Chips&Media, Inc., – May 21, 2010 – the leading provider of Video Intellectual property (IP) cores will participate in SoCIP Symposium under the theme “The Era of Designing with System-prototyping IP” to be held over two days in Shanghai on June 1st and Beijing on June 3rd. This is the 3rd annual premier IP seminar and exhibition where major global SoC IP and design technology companies meet the Chinese SoC design professionals. At this event, Chips&Media will offer the opportunity to learn how to select the right video IP for high-performance SoC designs through delivering presentations, technical papers and product demonstrations.

In the Chips&Media booth, attendees can see demonstrations of Chips&Media’s the latest video decoder IP core, Boda7503v2. It features full HD 1080p video decoding at 30fps with multi-standards support including H.264, MPEG-1/2/4, VC-1, DivX, H.263, RealVideo, Sorenson spark and even AVS. Also, the Boda7503v2 utilizes tiled memory addressing scheme and its proprietary bus protocol for enhanced memory management so that latency reduction, better memory efficiency and performance can be achieved.

In addition to this, Chips&Media will introduce their 3rd generation video IPs, BODA950 which can decode full HD 1080p multi-format stream including Theora at 60fps and CODA960 which can encode full HD video stream with H.264 Baseline profile at 30fps. The papers will be available from the booth.

About SoCIP SoCIP aims to serve the SoC design community by providing technologies and product information that enable precise SoC-building on the first try. Our vision is for a designer to rapidly assemble a SoC prototype by using commercial IP with minimal up-front cost, validate that the function is correct and then find the right Services provider to turn the prototype into a real silicon – all this is done to ensure that your SoC investment will give strong returns.

About Chips&Media Chips&Media, Inc. is a leading video IP provider based in Seoul, Korea (Republic of). Chips&Media’s video codec technologies cover the full line-up of video standards such as MPEG-2, MPEG-4, H.263, H.264/AVC, VC-1, RealVideo and AVS from D1 to Full HD resolution. Its advanced ultra low power multi-codec video IP has been chosen by more than 40 top-tiers based in US, Europe, Korea, Taiwan, China and Japan and has been proven in silicon reaching 25 millions of units.
